The crew goes to a fireworks display, and Luffy has some questions.
"Ah! Zoro, the fireworks are so pretty!"
"They're all right..."
The Straw Hat Crew was taking a small break in their adventures to go to a festival on a nearby island. Thought everyone was tired, Luffy had insisted that they stand to see the fireworks.
"It's so cool - there's a boom and an explosion, but the explosion's lots prettier than when we fire the cannon!"
Usopp and Chopper had fallen asleep, so Sanji and Nami dragged them back to the Going Merry. They said they'd be back before the fireworks display was over, but they still hadn't come.
"Zoro, what do fireworks feel like? Do they tickle?"
Zoro rolled his eyes. "I doubt it."
Luffy sighed. "Well, what do they feel like, then?"
"Probably they hurt. They are explosives, Luffy."
"Hm." Luffy's face lit up. "Zoro, can I try something real quick?"
"What are you talk-" Zoro's question was cut short when Luffy briefly pressed his lips to Zoro's. Zoro's eyes went wide with shock, and Luffy pulled away. "Luffy, what the hell was that!"
"Well..." Luffy grinned. "I wanted to see if it would feel like what I wanted fireworks to feel like. It did."
They watched the rest of the show in silence, then went back to the Merry.
"Ah, you're back!" Nami smiled. "Sorry we didn't come back - Sanji fell asleep and I didn't feel like getting up. How was it?"
Zoro smirked. "Great. I think I really like fireworks."
