Inspired by chapter 40 (:

"Over here, Ayuzawa!" a familiar voice called her from within the crowd, slightly teasing, yet edged with warmth.

Following it, she found the person she was looking for, standing perfectly at ease near the entrance of the theme park. That made her feel slightly annoyed.

Why couldn't he be as nervous as she was?

Did he even realise how hard and fast her heart was beating? How long she had spent to dress up this morning? Damn it all, she had even worn a freaking skirt! It was something that she had dug out from the bottom of her cupboard, something she had not seen since her mother had bought it for her a couple of months back, insisting that she should dress up more cutely.

Muttering ominously to herself, she made her way through the crowd and finally looked up as she reached him, her face flushing a fiery red the moment she saw him face to face.

She had seen Usui in casual wear before, once or twice. But those were the times when he had been working in the bustling kitchen of the maid café, with just a simple shirt over jeans. To her, it looked as if Usui had bothered to dress up as well. For her…her cheeks inflamed once more.

A little embarrassed, she tried to look elsewhere, take in the scenery, find out where exactly this place was…she sneaked a peek at Usui's direction; he had not said a word yet.

Staring in astonishment, she convinced herself hurriedly that it was all a trick of the light. Usui could not be blushing!

Usui cleared his throat, having seemingly been shaken out of his sudden reverie, "Let's go…" he grabbed her hand, sparking off violent reactions from Misaki before she finally gave up and followed his lead.

There, she sighed in relief. This was the perverted alien she knew…and loved…? Her internal self screamed in agony at the word, desperately trying to deny everything.

"What's wrong? Misa-chan?" they were now at a queue for a roller coaster ride.

"N-n-nothing!" she stammered a harried reply, pushing her whirlwind of thoughts firmly out of her mind.

---------

The exhilarating rides; the rides that made her feel like a kid again; the lunch they shared at a small café where Usui had tried to get her to feed him; the ferris wheel, the sunset that coupled it…the kiss that Usui had stolen…

Her face speedily turned crimson at the memory.

All of it was good.

"Ayuzawa…?" Usui asked in all seriousness, noticing that Misaki was fidgeting uneasily in her seat.

"T-today was fun…" she muttered, red-faced, not looking at him.

As Usui smiled, a faint blush covered his face once again. This girl, he thought. Had no idea what she was capable of, did she?
