A/N: For me, ideas pop up in the weirdest ways. You don't even want to know how this idea came to mind. :/ Enjoy.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.

Brown Eyes

Two different perspectives
.
If May could imagine stardust on every couple she came across, she would...and she does. She's a romantic and loves nothing more than seeing love, romantic gestures, and watching romantic tragedies. She is enamored with this concept: love.
Being the expert of sorts, she is adept to what it looks like, and is able to spot the usual gesture that accompanies it easily; she could see it in the eyes of the couples they come across their travels.
Ash is no different, yet he kind of is. Anyone else just shrugs with indifference when they see him, but she can see right through him. She knows with just one look that he feels differently than when they first met.
He is a very ignorant guy when it comes to love, so she can tell he hasn't realized it himself. He is too dense to see how different their relationship is, and hopefully someday she won't have to be pulling her hair out trying to give him hints.
Those brown eyes of his tell her a lot. They allow her to see his story, his ambitions, and who he cares for most: everything that makes Ash, Ash. His ambitious brown eyes are innocent enough and misunderstanding at times, yet they hold so much care and love – love.
And although he is ignorant of the romantic feelings that have been going on between them (at least in May's eyes), he can see that their relationship has changed. It's different.

Another breath left Ash's mouth as he sighed. His woven gloves clenched as he stared at his Pikachu with anxious auburn eyes. Pikachu smiled at his trainer, nodding his head in agreement.
Ash looked at the girl chomping down on her lunch, felicity all over her features. She held a huge smile whenever she took in a spoonful of the stew, savoring it.
He couldn't help but smile at her common, everyday antics and quirks, a scene like this being so May.
His eyes weren't accustomed to spotting love in someone's eyes… not when someone's eyes showed yearning for their significant other.
But he was still observant. He could still see… he wasn't blind. He noticed how she slowly but surely changed her perspective: on pokemon, on training, on him to an extent as well.
He could see a lot of things now. He could see when she was angry at him, when her lips would form a smile. He could see when she plastered an unwavering frown and warning azure eyes whenever he did something outrageous – if her tone of voice wasn't enough of a give away. He could see when she held a cheerful smile whenever she jumped for joy at his victory; how she'd look at him as for approval at her own victory and at the times when she'd just stare at him and smile, beaming when he does notice and asked her why.
Even though he could not see what she could in his brown eyes, he could see everything else in hers.

A/N: Although I did edit this a bit, I didn't really want to change this one much.
