I Am Merlin
Merlin's POV. Please review if you like it.
-I am Prince Arthur's manservant.
I wonder what my life would be like if I had never come to Camelot.
I hear the Prince's orders, his insults, and his threats of the stocks.
I see two sides of the same coin, my best friend and I.
-I am Gaius's assistant.
I pretend that I don't hear him trying to rouse me so I can sleep 5 more minutes.
I feel the hard stiffness that is my bed.
I touch the rows of dusty potion bottles.
I worry about the man who has become like my father.
I cry because I know he will never truly understand.
-I am a secret sorcerer.
I understand I could be sentenced to death at any time, that I'm lucky to be alive.
I say the secret language and it makes me feel alive.
I dream that one day I can truly be myself.
I try to tell Arthur who I am, what we are destined to be.
I hope someday he will understand. That they all will.
