Mulch Diggums was on his way down to his cell in Atlantis yet again, after being caught with over 60 stolen valuables, and a gold bar from the Fowl investigation. Not only this but he wasn't going to be able to escape from the sub this time. The LEP had hooked him up to a machine that monitored his breathing, and posted guards around every exit. He was also chained to the floor.
They arrived in Atlantis that day, although you could only tell by the clock that it was daytime at this depth. Four burly elfs escorted him into his cell ignoring, and even laughing at his complaints about the dim light.
His cell was nothing different, except that it was thousands of feet below the ocean, and they had LED spotlights outside the door in case he tried to escape. They put a cuff around his mouth in case he tried to escape, and he would eat in front of armed guards. 'Honestly!' Thought Mulch '61 charges of grand theft and 1020 previous charges and they lock you up for life.'
That night he began thinking of ways to escape. He couldn't dig, or chisel through the reinforced concrete, and he would die from the LED lights outside. 'I'll think about it in the morning…' he concluded as he nodded off to sleep.
The next morning he was sitting on the toilet and at the most inconvenient time the voice of a female pixie came from the next cell. Not only was it a pixies voice it was the voice of Opal Koboi!
