Drabble: Outdoing The Affection

Derek Morgan entered his candle lit living room, holding a popcorn bowl in one hand and a bowl of various types of candies in the other.

"Hey sweet cheeks, the popcorn's finished" Morgan murmured to the blonde who had plopped herself down on Morgan's chocolate brown couch, the TV flashing bursts of light in the dimly lit room.

The blonde turned to Morgan. "Thanks, hot stuff. Take a seat. I won't bite you. This movie's good, by the way".

Morgan turned to the TV after he had gotten himself seated next to the blonde on the couch. He noticed right away that she was watching The Texas Massacre. He knew that she had a strong liking to scary movies that involved tons of gore.

Morgan then moved his hand gently up and down the blonde's shoulder, gently squeezing to release any tension. He could feel her relaxing into his touch.

"So have you talked to Emily today?" Morgan asked lightly while still rubbing her back. The blonde nodded swiftly.

"Yeah, I called her this morning. She texted me and told me that she is enjoying her new home in London. I miss her though; the whole team is as well. I can tell that Hotch is especially upset; judging by the fact that he never told her how much he loved her. His guilt is literally killing him lately".

Morgan nodded. "I miss her too. She meant everything to each and every one of us. I mean, Alex is cool and all, but Emily was family. At least she told us that she is going to visit us really soon. That makes me feel a little better about her absence".

The blonde popped a piece of popcorn into her mouth. "Derek?"

"Hmm?"

"I love you, I really hope that you know that". She gently caressed his face in a loving gesture, amongst the screams and other noises that were coming from the movie on the TV.

Morgan smiled widely. "I'm glad because I feel the same way". He leaned forward and kissed her gently on the lips, feeling her kissing him back. Whenever the two of them kissed, it was like a dream, a really good dream.

After a couple minutes, they both pulled away, resting their foreheads against each other's. The blonde snuggled into Morgan's side and he could feel the warmth of her body against his. Morgan was the first to break the sweet silence between the two of them. "I'll never ever stop thinking about you and feeling love for you, JJ".
