For You
A/N: Hello! :) This poem just randomly came to me today. It's supposed to be Zia before the battle, if I didn't display that clear enough.
Disclaimer: I only own the words themselves, and the family.
It approaches,
The time to face it again,
Your killer, your murderer.
Terror fills me,
But I will be brave,
Just like you taught me.
I won't let this stop me
From avenging you.
#
For you, brother,
I will fight
Because you always knew what to say,
Always helping when I didn't know.
Worked so hard to please,
Even if it was beyond your strengths.
I will fight for you.
#
For you, brother,
I will fight
Because you always did what was best for all of us,
So caring, so strong.
You taught me to face my fears,
Like a brave girl.
I will fight for you.
#
For you, sister,
I will fight.
Because you were so sweet to everyone,
And loved the only boy who didn't fall to your feet.
Always wanted to help in any way you could.
You taught me to knit, and to love, to care.
I will fight for you.
#
For you, brother and sister,
I will fight.
So young, so innocent,
You never got to truly live.
I wish you could have,
Because life is precious.
I will fight for you.
#
For you, mother,
I will fight.
Caring yet stern,
You knew what was best for us.
Never let anything stop you from loving
I will fight for you.
#
For you, father,
I will fight.
Provided for us for years,
Gave us food and laughter.
Taught me so many things,
About doing what is right.
I will fight for you.
#
For you, the lost ones,
Whom I don't remember,
But lived with me anyway.
I will fight for you.

Zia stood in her shrine, amber eyes looking at each and every picture that adorned the walls. She paced around the small room slowly, but stopped at the photograph of the entire village, with the Nile in the back and pale sands at the feet of the people. She placed her hand over it, resting her forehead against the wall beside it. "I won't let you all die in vain," she whispered, almost as if talking the portrait. "I will fight for you all, avenge you all. I will be brave, and do what's right. None of you died in vain. I promise. I will fight for you."
