"Finally!" Said the man as he looked upon the cataclysm of light.

It was finally done. He had seen everything, done anything... but in the end there was nothing he gained but the assurance of futility.

Achieving immortality had turned out to be Even worse then all the philosophers had imagined. Especially after he managed to be literally invincible. He was sitting upon a gigantic fragment of one of the later colonies. Once it had housed over a trillion people. But even that had been a long, long time ago.

But his suffering was going to finally end.

He would have never thought that he would witness the End, even after he stopped aging. He always thought that a war would take him, or maybe a powerful enemy with a grudge against him. But it never happened. After a certain point, he just thought smarter and faster then everyone else. With more experience in years then most armies combined, he was somehow able the live through everything, even after wars escalated to the level of wiping out whole planets. Nothing in the universe managed to kill him, not even the universe itself. So he lived on, watching civilizations and empires be born, grow and die. Humans? Gone a long time ago. Once, after the humans managed to wipe out the last of their kind, he even tried to be a benefactor to one of the new races and help them along, but that ultimately ended even worse. So he sat back and just watched. However, at this point no other life form existed. They were all wiped out when the universe decided to stop expanding, and started shrinking. Grandted, it wasn't that fast, but when galaxies and stars started colliding en mass, they stood no chance. He wasn't even sure how he survived all of that.

And now he was looking at the End.

Naruto waited in anticipation. Finally something new, even if it was death. He never became the super depressed kind of immortal, like some other who managed to ascend to this status, but boredom was a problem. Now it was time for him to find out if there was an afterlife. After all it was unlikely that the curse was still in effect, right?

"Fuck!"

Even after all this time, he knew instantly that he was back in his room. It had been his home for the first halve of eternity after all.

Currently however, he was really, really annoyed. Death had cheated him again.

'Well, at least this proves that the condition for this fucking loop is not just 'survive till point or event X.''

At least he got some progress out of the experience. Stay positive and stuff.

'Let's see how much of the old routine I still remember.' He said as he stood up and went over to his dresser to get in his good old jumpsuit. He opened the closet and laid his eyes upon the glorious orange...

Omake:

He opened the closet and laid his eyes upon the glorious orange...Skirt?

Slowly, his hand drifted below his waist. A short inspection later confirmed the more or less expected.

"Well, this is different." she deadpanned.

A/N: Another annoying idea that has be floating around for years. This here is something written a long time ago, but just today I decided to finally butcher it for real, so I improved some sections and here we go. To tell the truth, I think this concept is only salvagable in a crackfic, since this Naruto is far to overpowered for anything else, and is also so old that he is long past any kind of existential crisis related to his situation, even thouth he has experienced them all at a certain point.

And the Omake is an alternative ending, not an theoretical future scene.
