A/N: I'm bored. And sick. And my two other stories are killing me. So I present to you this cute drabble.

Disclaimer: I own the kitty…his name is Triforce. ^_^

Warmth

I don't know why I was stupid enough to insist that I leave today; after all, I have all the time in the world to get to where I'm going. More time than I know what to do with. The Hero won't behold the Water Temple for days yet.

So why did I chose today to head for the Zoran Temple? Smart move there, Dark.

The cold bite into my flesh as I trudge towards my goal, snow pooling in my boots. I was crazy to do this, crazy to come out in the middle of a snowstorm, for Din's sake. As though my body agrees, I sneeze violently, stumbling backwards and falling to the ground.

I shake my head and that's when I hear it.

High pitched, a plea for help.

I'm not an animal-lover; I can barely stand the things. But something about the mewl makes me push myself to my feet and stagger towards the source.

Half-frozen, half-dead. Grey and white. What's it doing all the way out here?

It meows again, snapping me out of my thoughts; I pick it up and sit down.

I hate to do it, but something utterly foreign in me tells me to. Slowly, I take my hat off and wrap it around the trembling thing, holding it to my chest.

It's called a cat, I recall.

We stay like that for a moment, before the winter air gets to me and I sneeze again. I rub my nose, deciding that I officially hate the cold. Ugh…you're a lucky little kitty…I can feel the heat pouring from you…

That's it.

I curl up, sticking my face into the cat's downy pelt, loving the sensation that sweeps through me.

It's warm…

A/N: Yesterday night I went to my dad's and some of my cats followed me. On the way home, it was cold and I didn't have a jacket, plus I didn't want the kitties to get squashed by a car. So I walked all the way home with them in my arms. It was awesome. The End.

Review, or no cyber-kitty for you!
