A/N: This is just something that came to me when I sat down to write. It's just Amy's choices and thoughts. Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who...:( Hope you enjoy!

Who does she love?

Amy was worried. She really was getting mixed signals from the Doctor. Why had he taken her away from her bedroom in her nightie in the middle of the night? Then he hadn't let her get changed for ages. Not that she was thinking about what she was wearing at the time. She had just landed on a spaceship for the first time ever and the whole of the UK were living in it! (apart from Scotland, and she felt really proud to be Scottish in that moment) She really hadn't cared that she was wearing her nightie.

Then there was Rory. Her boyfriend. More than that, he was her fiancé and she was marrying him tomorrow a couple of thousand years ago. He was a good bloke. She really had lucked in with him, but when she compared him to the Doctor. Who did she choose? A mad man with a blue box, or Rory, a nurse from Leadworth?

The Doctor was a very tricky man to understand. Was he a man? She wasn't completely sure. She'd never heard him talk about himself. It felt like he was trying to hide something from her, his past, his future. She wasn't sure.

When she had made him show her pictures of all his previous companions, she was shocked. But then when she thought about it she wasn't. Why should he have to travel on his own. She understood loneliness. Without Rory, she was completely alone. All through her childhood she had only had an aunt, and she always left her alone in that big, empty house. Even at night. That's when she felt most alone. At night. Nobody liked to be alone, she didn't understand how her aunt could leave a seven year old alone at night.

She never understood why they lived in that big house. Her and Aunt Sharon. Why did they need five bedrooms? It made her think there was always something or someone missing.

She always called for Rory when she was alone, and he would come running, whatever he was doing wherever he was, he would be there for her.

When she first went travelling with the Doctor, she completely forgot about Rory. She was so overwhelmed by all of Time and Space, she just forgot to remember ordinary, normal things. But when the Doctor was doing or saying something she didn't understand, she would remember Rory and that simple life in Leadworth and wish for it.

But then she would wonder how could she ever give up this life? The life she had dreamed of throughout all her childhood. That one visit when was seven. It had given her imagination fuel. Fuel that made her able to survive those lonely nights, before Rory could come over as soon as he liked. This travelling was amazing. She never wanted it to end. But she wanted to share it with someone other than the Doctor. Someone who meant so much to her. She had to find Rory.

He was the one she loved.
