Hey people who read this poem,
I wrote this one because someone asked me to. The theme is sad and depressing.

How I Lost My Life
In the mist of my mind
Lies a knowledge
That is natural and instinctual
As breathing and seeing
I tried to protect you with my life
To save you from the dangers
Of this cruel world we lived in
I suffered so you didn't have to
I took all the hate
And gave you all the love in me
My soul died
When you did
Never giving me your laughter
Or seeing your happy face
Blood on my hands
I killed in your name
For taking away
My reason to live
Flesh of mine
Blood of mine
Love of mine
My life
My child
Is gone now
