A Poem for Kagome
Will you remember me? When you go back into the well Never to return Will you remember me?
Will you remember that I've never been as close to anyone in my life, As I am to you? That I can bare my soul And never worry that you will tell all my secrets, As I will never tell yours?
Did you know there are things I never told you about me? That I think of you so often it hurts? That I care so deeply about you, not her, that I would give my life for you? That I love you?
There are things I never told you Things I deeply regret for never doing Things that will haunt me forever If I never do them, Or say them
So in expressing myself in a poem, A poem you will never read I have poured my heart out for all the world to see
Because when you leave, Never to return, I will have kept you safe from all possible hurts Including me.
