A Holmes-less heart on Valentine's Day… in Ran's Point of View
It was the 14th of February. I was walking through the street…
Couples walking hand-in-hand,
Exchanging chocolates,
Heart shaped cards and flowers
Even little girls giving chocolate to their crushes.
As I passed the Kudo residence, I sigh and think, "If Shinichi is ever here? Could we celebrate?" I continued walking and cherry blossoms fall on my face one by one, still I see more couples sweeter than ever.

I drew closer to the agency and a guy bumped into me. I didn't look at him and thought …

I entered the office to see that even Mom's celebrating with Dad…
I couldn't hold it in… I greeted them "Happy Valentine's Day!" then went to my room…
I lied down on my bed and tears started to fall from my eyes while looking at a picture of Shinichi…
A couple of minutes later… my phone rang…
"Hello?"
"Hey Ran! It's me!"
"Shinichi?"
"Who else? Anyway… just want to greet you a Happy Valentines Day… and look in your bag."
"What?"
"Just do it!"
I looked in my bag to see a Lavender Box… I opened the box to see a silver necklace with a heart locket… I looked inside the locket and saw a picture of him on the left and a picture of me on the right… the lock on the end had our names engraved on it…
"How'd you put that there?" I asked
"You bumped into me just a while ago… I was on my way to the police station to give back the files about the last case… do you like it"
"No!" after what I said, I heard his voice tremble and answered
"What do you mean no? I mean why…"
I gave a giggle and answered back "I don't like it coz' I love it!"
He smirked and said "you had me there!"
"I love it so much"
"Too bad I can't be there to put it around your neck"
