FAN FIC 3

Title: tongue-tied mistake…

Ran found a friend in the new guy in town named, Shiro, he was as sweet as caramel, as handsome as Shinichi, actually even better than him, also he was smart but not a nerd. He and Ran spend a lot of time together talking about karate techniques and TV. Shows. Shinichi was getting a little annoyed by the time they spend together, nah, he was a lot jealous. On the last day of the second semester before their break, Ran met Shinichi on the school gate; she had a very excited emotion painted on her face.

She shrieked and said " Shiro just asked me out!"

"What?!" Shinichi asked surprisingly,

Ran kept doing the 'happy dance' and kept shrieking…

"I'm so excited for our date tomorrow!" she said.

Shinichi held her shoulders to stop her from dancing and asked "Where?" Ran took his hands off her and answered, "I'm not telling you!" she then smiled and waved at Shiro who was waiting at the other side of the gate. Shinichi watched them as they walked away. He slowly walked the other way just to avoid them. He was so surprised of what Ran had told him. The scene and her voice kept repeating what she just said again and again in his head. Then he started to ask himself…

"Why? Why? I thought she loved me?"

"Was I just imagining about those things, Valentines, Christmas, New Year. She kept saying she missed me again and again. How come, now?"

Shinichi entered his house and it felt totally different, it had less joy, less happiness, less laughter for there was no Ran to just drop onto the couch then starts to bring out her books and complain "I hate math! It's so darn hard" he felt incomplete without Ran. He went up his room dropped his bag on the floor and changed. After that he fell onto his bed and started thinking about Ran again, if she's already home or if she's till out with that guy. He dragged his feet down the stairs and sat down the couch. He switched on the T.V. at 7 pm his phone rang, it was Ran calling, and he ignored it and said, "Why are you calling me now! Don't you have a date or something?"

2 WEEKS PASSED neither Ran nor Shinichi were talking to each other. It was almost the start of school again…

Ran was on a date with Shiro…

Shinichi was in a crime scene…

Both were busy… in different places… at the same time… with different people…

Ran and Shiro were having a date in Cherry Blossom Park, talking, laughing, and having fun

Shinichi, on the other hand, was talking to the witness.

While Shiro drew closer to Ran to kiss her, he said, "I Love you Ran…"

Ran went near him and said "I Love you too… Shinichi".

After her last word, Shiro moved back and gave her a surprised look and asked "What?"

Ran shook her head and replied "I meant… I just" she thought that Shiro would be furious but instead he gave her a smile and held both of her hands.

After a short pause, he spoke

"Don't worry Ran, I understand, I know how you feel about Kudou-san. It's all right with me, I just made a really fast move. We might have a lot in common, we agree a lot but you just like me and you got a stronger feeling for him." Ran hugged him tightly and replied "thanks, and I still want to be your friend"

He just nodded back and Ran went.

She bumped into Shinichi who told her "Ran, I feel the same way."

At first Ran didn't get it but in a moment she threw her arms around him…

It was just such a happy moment…
