Space. It's huge. Some huge, in fact, that if you lost your car keys in it, they would be almost impossible to find. However, there was a feel of evil and intense shadow as a fleet of battleships flew throughout the void of space. At the helm of this was evil Dr. Eggman. Eggman was one of the most villainous people to touch Earth's ground. With repeated plans to control the Earth, with power coming from jewels known as the Chaos Emeralds, he failed every time, stopped by Earth's strongest warrior, Sonic the Hedgehog.
"Ho ho ho ho ho! Finally, my biggest scheme to date is finally coming to fruition. This energy of the Chaos Emeralds will be strong enough to fire a laser so strong, there will be no need for schemes. Barring that horrid little hedgehog stopping me, the Earth will be mine!"
"Intruder alert. Scans show intruders as Sonic the Hedgehog and other warriors of justice."
"No! Sonic must not stop me now! Not when the plan is fusing together so soon! Metal Sonic, send all of my Badniks out and have them CRUSH SONIC!"
Sonic sped into one of the rooms where he could find a Chaos Emerald locked in a pedestal. "Well, Eggman, being too nice to just let me have the Chaos Emerald without a fight, huh?"
Suddenly, Sonic heard a laughing sound not of Eggman's, but of his own. He then saw a ghastly figure materialize from under the floor. It looked like Sonic, but without a torso and legs.
"Not you again." Sonic knew that this was a ghost from one of Sonic's previous adventures. But it wasn't alone. It was with several other ghosts, and then he saw a very big one. It was King Boom Boo.
"So you're the famous Sonic the Hedgehog."
"And you're King Boom Boo."
"Huh. didn't know I had a fan club."
"So what are you doing here in Eggman's base?!"
"I was sent here for the sole purpose of destroying you. Now, I will end Eggman's little problem right now. Ghosts of the underworld, destroy him!"
Sonic was ready to fight the ghosts. Sonic started running as fast as he could, and the ghosts tried to catch up. But they failed. Sonic then performed a Spin Dash on several ghosts, sending them back to hell. Sonic then dashed up to King Boom Boo. But, he was punched away by Boo, but he got back up and shot light with his Enerbeam at Boo, rendering his power useless. Sonic then spin dashed right for Boo's chest and went right through it, sending him and his devilish soul back to hell. Sonic then destroyed the pedestal, grabbed the emerald and dashed out, much to Metal Sonic's chagrin.
