Never Alone, Fairy Tail fanfic
"Mama!" a blonde child named Lucy Heartfilia yelled out her mother's name while running frantic around her village.
Fire was everywhere; no matter what angle she turned the flames stared back at her. She stopped suddenly and felt her eyes widen.
There, her parents lying on the ground dead.
Lucy didn't even try to hold her tears back; she couldn't not when her parent's dead right in front of her eyes.
Then she heard a cackle laughter coming from behind her. The blonde trembled and slowly turned her head around. She saw a man with cold dark blue eyes and wavy dark brown hair, firmly gripping the sharp dagger stained with blood.
The murderer slowly approach her and with a quick-
"AHHHHH", Lucy woke up sweating and breathing heavily. "What a nightmare", the blonde said as she put her hand to her heart, which was beating loud as a drum. The dream that she had was the day her parents were killed. She looked at the time 9:00 A.M and cursed herself, so she pushed herself out of the bed to get ready to go to the guild.
Natsu was currently sitting quietly, which surprised the guild members. He was trying to find his blonde haired friend but failed. So he asked Mira if she saw Lucy. "Nope, Mirajane said, I didn't saw her this morning Natsu she said in a worried tone."
Then the doors of the guild open revealing a blonde named Lucy Heartfilia, she walked to the bar and sat down without saying a greeting, like she usually does once she came into the guild.
Lucy put her head down and started to remember the nightmare she had. She silently cried to herself, not wanting her guild mates to worry. But a certain dragon slayer found her sitting in the bar stool quietly. So he tried to comfort her.
"Luce", are you okay? Natsu asked.
"I- I'm o- okay", the stellar mage answered but her voice croaked, giving Natsu a hint that she wasn't okay. But she couldn't hold her tears, so she sobbed loud enough for Natsu to hear.
Natsu eyes widen when he heard her sobs, and put his hand on her shoulder and pulled making her face to face with his.
He looked into her brown bloodshot eyes; he felt his heart broke into pieces as she cried. Natsu felt himself grow angry and about to kill the person that made her cry.
"Luce", tell me what's wrong the fire mage said in comforting tone. The guild members widen their eyes, they have never saw Natsu speak in a comforting tone. But whenever his partner was crying he will do everything it takes to make her smile and laugh. Because he loved her smile as bright as like the sun and her laugh ringed like bells.
"I- its t- the d- day that m-my p-parents d-died", Lucy said stuttering.
Natsu eyes soften and pulled her to his chest and whispered comforting words that made her stop crying. She felt her eyes closed and her lips made a soft smile and fell asleep in his chest.
He scooped her in bridal style and walked to her apartment.
The guild member smiled knowing Lucy was safe while Natsu was there with her, and went back to where they were doing.
Natsu arrived in Lucy's apartment and walked to her room. He placed her gently on the bed and tucked her in. The fire mage yawned and climbed into the bed, and wrapped his arms around her waist and let her snuggle in his toned chest. "I love you Luce", Natsu whispered and fell asleep.
