"Good morning, Yuki!"

"Ugh."

"What's wrong, Yuki? You look angry."

Yuki sighed heavily and glared sideways at the bubbling pinkette. He lifted his mug of coffee to his lips and slowly drank from it.

Shuichi tugged on Yuki's arm and looked up at him with his amethyst puppy dog eyes. "What's wrong, Yuki? Why are you angry?" he asked, tugging his sleeve with each syllable. Yuki's eye twitched with the interaction and slammed his mug on the kitchen counter he was standing in front of. Shuichi jumped back and was surprised the mug didn't break under his force. "Y-Yuki?" he asked hesitantly.

"Shut up, will you?!" Yuki yelled. The author stormed out of the kitchen and rubbed his temples, leaving Shuichi in the kitchen by himself.

"Yuki, what's wrong?!" he yelled. The only response he got was a loud groan and a door slamming down the hall. "Aww. I have to know what's wrong with Yuki. It's time to be Detective Shindou!"

Shuichi ran to his room to get a detective hat he had for an occasion like this and draped a plaid blanket around his shoulders. "Let's go investigate!"

The detective tip toed down the hallway towards the door of Yuki's office. The door was closed but the glow of his laptop screen and maybe a lamp or two seeped through the sides. "Yuki," he cooed as he turned the knob on the door. "Yuki."

Shuichi opened the door wide enough to fit his head inside to scope the room before entering. Yuki's laptop was on as well as the desk lamp, but he wasn't sitting in his chair. "That's weird."

Shuichi stepped back into the hallway to look for his lover. He walked to Yuki's bedroom since that's the only other place he could be. The door was wide open, so Shuichi just waltzed right in. The curtains of his window were drawn, making it hard to see. Inside, he managed to see a lumpy figure underneath the covers of his bed through the darkness. "Yuki? Why are you huddled up in the dark?" Shuichi asked.

Without a second thought, he opened the curtains to let in a sea of sunlight. The figure under the blankets groaned and rolled over to face the wall. The tops of the cloth were pulled up farther over his head as he curled into a ball on the bed. "Close it, dammit!" he yelled.

"Why? It's a beautiful day today!" Shuichi cheered.

"I don't care! Just close it!" Yuki yelled.

Shuichi pouted and climbed into bed next to the author. "You're not much of a morning person, are you?" he cooed.

"You won't see the morning if you don't close the damn curtain!"
