It felt like the plus sign was glaring at her. Mocking her since this was not supposed to ever happen again. Two little lines were about to change her life forever.
She was checking on Jo when he stepped into the hallway behind her.
"You were quiet during dinner."
"I know."
"What is it Ellen?"
She turned, test in hand and said. "I'm late."
His eyes travel to the stick in her hand. "Late?"
She nods softly.
And damn if his face doesn't light up like the fourth of July before he kisses her silly.
