"And today we have a slight chance of rain…"
Kaoru groaned loudly as the twins' radio alarm clock blared for the third time that morning, reaching a hand out to try and turn the cursed thing off. He lifted his head for a moment to hit the snooze button, remembering to be careful. Their mother had been very clear last time Hikaru had knocked their alarm clock off the table and broken it; there would not be a replacement. They'd broken more alarm clocks in their life than half of Japan owned, according to Mrs. Hitachiin. She wasn't about to let their bad habits continue.
"Still, it's one way to turn it off," he muttered. Hikaru muttered sleepily and pulled his brother closer in response, pressing their foreheads together.
"Fimomins," he slurred. Kaoru smiled and stifled a yawn, pressing his lips to the older boy's for a moment. Hikaru pouted when he pulled away, and he chuckled.
"Come on, Hikaru. Time to get up."
"Kao," the boy moaned in response. "We go to bed until two last night…"
"Oh, we were in bed," Kaoru replied, now fully awake. He pulled out of Hikaru's grasp to stretch like a cat, yawning again. "Whose fault is it that we weren't sleeping?"
"And who was the one begging…" Hikaru muttered, pulling him back into bed. Kaoru chuckled.
"Get up, Hika-chan."
"No."
"Hi-ka-ru…" Kaoru trilled, sing-song, into his brother's ear. "We're going to be late for school…"
"You say that every morning."
"Yes, but it's been half an hour since I first said it to you today."
"The alarm clock didn't go off three times."
"Yes it did, Hikaru…" Kaoru favored the sleepy boy with another kiss. "Come on, get up."
"No…"
"Hika… we're going to be late if we don't shower, like…" the boy glanced at the much-abused clock, "…right now."
No response.
"Hikaru, get up."
"Make me."
Kaoru raised an eyebrow at that. "Are you sure about that?"
No response.
"You know…" Hikaru began once they'd finally made it to the limo.
"Oh, please, don't even start," Kaoru pleaded. His brother ignored him.
"…gives a whole new meaning…"
"Oh, don't you dare even-"
"…to sleepy head."
Kaoru groaned, and Hikaru grinned. "I can't believe you went there."
"I can go lots of other places too. I owe you one, if my memory serves correctly, and since it was this morning I'm pretty sure I-"
"It's okay, I can do without my one," Kaoru said exasperatedly, cutting him off.
"That's not what anyone listening last night would have thought…"
Kaoru sighed, muttering to himself. "It's going to be a long-"
"Long what?"
"Hikaru!"
A/N: Just a little fluff as a present to all those HikaKao fans out there. Although it's really got nothing to do with the holidays xD. Anyhow, hope you enjoyed it! Reviews are very welcome, haha.
