Hylian Politics
"Hi. This is Link. Over the past day or two, there have been some fanfics concerning my position in American politics. I just want to clarify over this current debate.
"I can see how both sides are right, and how both sides are wrong. I don't want to take sides in this matter. Truth be told, I'm not even interested in American politics. It has nothing to do with me! Heck, I live in Hyrule, not the US! Why should I care who wins in the race for the presidency?
"My point here is that, politics don't belong in a fanfic. Sure, this is going against that belief, but I felt that I needed to be heard in this matter. Some people were putting words in my mouth. They never once asked my opinion.
"I'm not saying any of this to seem offensive. I mean no harm to either party. But let's be mature about this, shall we? My intended message is this:
"STOP WRITING ABOUT POLITICS AND GO BACK TO WRITING ABOUT MY ADVENTURES IN HYRULE!!!!
"I find saving the world from Goddesses-know-what more interesting than who wins some election in another dimension.
"That being said, I will go now, because I can hear Zelda screaming for help. I think she may have run out of her favorite nail polish again...
"See ya in another fanfic!!"
Author's Note: Let's stop with the politics in fanfiction, please? Most people read it to get away from that kind of thing.
