Disclaimer: Unless I suddenly find out that I'm closely related to some very rich people, I don't own Kingdom Hearts. Since you've got a better chance of winning the lottery than that does of happening, I have to include this annoying sentence at the top.

Warnings: Mm, shortness...and it's, uh, it's really just something that popped into my head.

Other: So, uh, yeah. Short, simple, and...sweet? I dunno. Concrit is highly appreciated.

Dancing

No one would believe her.

"What do you do, Kairi?"

She had always been a quiet child, except around her friends. They, at least, listened to her, and pretended to believe.

"Oh, that's nice. Is that why you're always so sleepy?"

But they didn't really understand. None of them did. Only two ever would, and she had already forgotten about one of them.

"Of course I remember Riku, silly! But, Kairi, I don't recall a Sora. Are you sure?"

She was sure. She remembered. She also felt bad for forgetting Sora of all people. And so she danced, said she danced with heroes and warriors and princes, and everyone laughed at her behind her back, but she knew that it was true.

"I guess I can't believe it. I mean, it's home! I've been gone so long... I really missed it."

Sora and Riku were everything she said of them, and more, so much more that she was more than a little stunned when it all hit home. There was a king over there, being all friendly and comfortable with Riku, like they were old pals. Those two over there, they worked for the king and were powerful heroes in their own right, and that was Sora they were hanging off of. But Sora smiled at her, and she smiled back, and everything was alright. Oh, and there was Riku, half-smirking half-smiling like he always did, and it was just like old times.

"Kairi, why do you dance?" I danced for them, Selphie. Always for them; only for them. But I don't have to anymore. Now, I can dance for myself.
