CHAPTER 1
She was used to this, hiding out until the security finally left and went home. She'd been doing this for years, since the day her family abandoned her. Here, she could get anything she needed, food, clothes, bed. Yes, living in the mall was great, sometimes. It tended to get lonely, though. Nobody really knew that she was homeless; she was better dressed, well rested, and well fed. She wasn't very popular, so it didn't matter to her. Walking around the mall, late at night, she tends to find things. She finds money, pacifiers, bottles, just about anything you can think of, but tonight was different. She had never seen an item, just lying on the floor. It was small and red. She picked it up. It was a sticker of some kind. This gave her an idea. She ran to the fabric store and grabbed two different types of fabric that she felt would go great with her grey skin and purple hair. The first fabric was a blend that she easily made into a one piece leotard. The second fabric, made of velvet, needed little sewing. This was a cape. 'Now, to find something to hook the cape together,' she thought. She had gone through lots of stores before she found the right one. It was a black-purple color bordered in a circle of gold. This matched her all black outfit perfectly. 'Shoes!,' she thought, 'I need shoes.' She went to the shoe store and found a pair of black elfish shoes. These shoes didn't curl at the tip or have a bell, but they still looked elfish. Then, she went to the bathroom. 'Now for the final touch,' she thought as she put the small, red, diamond-shaped sticker upon her forehead. As she did this, she felt a rush of pain as her memories came flooding back. There was a noise behind her. She turned to see another girl looking back at her. She recognized her. She was tan, with long, red hair, clad in a showy purple outfit which brought out her emerald green eyes. She was not of this planet, but of Tamaran. "Glad to have you back, friend Raven. I have missed you so much." "I'm glad to be back, Star, I missed you too." said the grey-skinned girl. "Come, Raven, Robin is waiting for us at the tower" "Coming" said Raven, looking back at the mall once more. 'I will never set foot here again she thought.' Boy was she wrong.
