He leaned forward with a malicious grin on his face.
"So you do not love me?" he snarled, pulling back his dagger. He lunged forward, thrusting it through her chest.
"Baron-why do you do this to me?" Helena asked faintly.
Before he could answer, she took a final, staggered breath.

Sudden realization hit him. He looked down at what he did. Remorse shook his whole body. "Why? Why!" he screamed for all the secluded Albanian woods to hear. "Is this how I will gain freedom? Innocence? These-these chains, shackles. They restrain me. I'll never be whole again."
