Riza had just shot her last bullet at Archer. Thank god he went down. Or else she'd be in trouble. She straighten herself and started toward the Fuhrer's home to search for Roy. Riza was about half way from her previous position when she saw him. Lying there on the ground. Riza was quickly by his side.

"General? General?" She yelled. Roy didn't answer. "Dammit Roy Mustang talk to me!" Still no answer.

Riza bent down over Roy and started to cry for loved one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Roy was sitting up in his bed watching Riza peel an apple. "What's the frown for?" He asked. Riza looked up with a somewhat of a startled expression.

"The time was perfect. You did your part. But I... could have gotten there sooner... to protect you." Riza said looking into her lap.

Roy's face sadened. He knew the topic would come up sooner or later. "Nothing's perfect. The world isn't perfect. But it's there for us, trying the best it can. That's what makes is to damn beautiful." He reached up and ran his finers through her long blonde hair. Riza's face, again, had a startled expression. But she also looked calmed.

Riza sighed. She stuck a piece of appel into Roy's mouth. "Just shut up and eat." This time, it was Roy who had the startled look. But a happy one.

A few minutes had passed as Roy finshed his fruit. Riza started to pack up her things and put on her jacket when Roy spoke.

"Riza, wait." Riza turned around to look at him. "Yes sir?" She asked? "Please, don't do that."

"Do what?"

"Call me sir. We're not in the office now. We can be casual."

"Yes sir- ah... I mean Roy." Riza blushed.

"Now look, you're blushing." Roy tried to get out of bed but was still too sore. Riza noticed this and rushed to his side. "Are you ok?"

"Yes, I'm fine. Sit down for a second." Riza went to grab a chair but Roy stopped her. "No, come sit next to me." Riza didn't want to but did as he wished and sat next to him.

"What's the matter?"

"There's nothing the matter, sir."

"Dammit Riza call my Roy!" Before Riza could react, Roy was at her mouth, lightly pressing his lips to hers. He slowly pulled away and looked into her eyes. "Now, tell me. What's wrong?"

"I- I-..." Riza leaned into Roy's chest and started to cry. "I was so scared. I thought I had lost you." Roy smiled and hugged her. "But you didn't. That's all the matters. I'm here with you now."

Riza pulled away. "I"m sorry. I should go." She wiped a tear away and started for the door again. "No!" Roy called. Riza stopped. Roy struggled to stand up but he did. He walked to Riza and put his arms around her waist.

"Please, don't go." His breath was warm against Riza's neck. "You've committed your life to protect mine. Now I want to do the same." A tear slid down Riza's cheek. She truned around. She had hesitated to look at Roy in the eye but finally did.

"Riza, I love you."

"R- Roy?" Riza stood on tip toe and kissed Roy with all the passion she had. And he returned it with the same feeling. She broke apart just long enough to say, "I love you too Roy."

a/n: Not bad for for my first Royai huh? It was actually kinda hard to write knowing what happens in the move and how Roy and Riza are separated. But I didn't plan this fic for the movie. Anyways... Please review. Thanks!
