Summary: This is a post-ep fic for Abra Cadaver.
Zephyr sat in the back of the police car. He coughed up a key. It lay on his tongue. Zephyr remembered that Grissom had checked his mouth. Grissom not the amazing guy that he thinks he is. Zephyr thought. He had out tricked the almighty Grissom. And, he was going to get away with it. As the car pulled up to the police station, Zephyr hid the key back into his mouth. They wouldn't check again. He thought. And, he was right. They booked him, and shoved him into his cell. They treated him like the murderer he was. He waited in his cell 'til the guard left him alone.
"Hey, Zeph, I'll be right back. You be a good little boy and don't try to escape." The guard said. He got up and went to the WC. Zephyr stood stunned. They would leave him alone? He spit up the key and reached his arm around the cell door. He finally got the key into the slot and turned it. Click. The Zephyr walked out of his cell stealthily. He was free. No little cell could hold him.

The alarm sounded in the LVMPD. Grissom looked up from his work. "Dammit." He muttered. He knew what had happened. He stood up from his desk as Sara walked into his office.
"What's going on?" She yelled, covering her ears.
"That's the alarm for escaped prisoner. I know it jus has to be the Zephyr. C'mon, let's go find out." Grissom was not covering his ears for he could barley hear the sound.
Sara looked at him. "Doesn't it hurt your ears?" She said as they ran to the holding cells.
Grissom nodded his head. "No, I'm used to it." He made up a lame excuse, but it seemed to work on Sara. She nodded her head. As they came to the Zephyr's cell, they saw the door hanging wide open. The prison guard was duct taped to a chair and another police officer was standing nearby. He had pulled the switch. Grissom walked up the prison guard who was duct taped. "There's no easy way to do this." Grissom said, as was his usually saying when he had to do this job. He ripped the duct tape off of the man mouth. The prison guard screamed.
Sara still had her hands plastered over her ears. "Can you turn that off?" She yelled to the man who had flipped the switch. He obliged. Sara uncovered her ears. She sighed. The prison guard explained what happened. Grissom walked hurriedly to Brass. He slammed his hands on the table "You couldn't put more men than one on a flight risk?" He said angrily. Brass looked at Grissom. He opened his mouth to speak, but Grissom cut him off. "A dangerous man is on the streets because of a stupid mistake." Grissom said. He pounded his fist on Brass's desk and walked back to his office. There was nothing he himself could do about it. He didn't have the power or authority to have a manhunt. Brass would have to do that. Grissom checked his pulse. 85. He was a little angry at the moment. He saw the two-headed coin setting on his desk. He picked it up. "You had two heads, didn't you? You and your son. And, one was expendable." He played with the coin for a while.
He didn't notice when Sara had walked in. He placed her hand on Grissom's back. Grissom looked up at her and dropped the coin onto his desk. "It's okay. You tried." Sara said. Grissom nodded his head. He couldn't linger on this case for too long, so he ordered everyone into the break room. He was back to himself. He checked his pulse again. 70. Just normal. He thought he knew that in the back of his mind, Zephyr was going to escape. Zephyr was an escape artist. It was his job to flee danger. Grissom handed out assignments.
