DVD Commentary track: The idea comes from the fact that Krycek in my sad little mind is telling children stories. The idea came from doing research on Jimmy Hoffa where he would make up stories about himself as an animal using cunning to survive. Just like here. Guess which episode I'm summarizing here.

Fox and Rat
A "traditional" Russian Folk tale
As Told By A. Krycek to S.M. Artzen
Once upon a time there lived a Rat. Rat was the most attractive, intelligent creature in the forest. He was well liked by most of the creatures including a Yellowed Hair tree Rat and the Cardinal. The only creature that didn't like Rat was his sworn enemy: the Fox. Rat had made it his goal to outsmart the Fox and thus have some amusement in his life. After all the Big nosed Fox was the source of all the pain and suffering in Rat's life. He could have been a good little drone and just die I'd still have two arms and Russian and powerful…damn it…oh…um…I digress…
One day Rat was minding his own business you know staying alive with his fellow vermin when The Fox caught him. The Rat knew that he was in trouble. After all every time the Fox and Rat collided some very bad would happen, like the evil dairy farmer would find Rat and torment him by sticking him in a North Dakota Missile Silo…I mean cage…yea that's it a cage. Not to mention that Rat would get knocked around and foolishly accused of killing the Fox's father. This time Rat had told the Fox that he could find what he was looking for at the other end of the Forest in the dark part. Fox agreed and they went off to the Dark part of the Forest. Once they were there The Fox saw what he had been looking for. However, Fox and Rat was expected, because Rat had made an alliance with the leaders of the darker forest: the Bears. The Bears had caught Fox and Rat. Rat was allowed to carry on with his business in the Bears Den. Fox however was mauled severely but no had to survive. Well the Fox escaped taking the rat with him for god knows what reasons (Not those reason. Marita shut up!). The Rat used his keen and cunning and escaped. Sadly the Rat wasn't as lucky as he thought because he met up with more vermin and was mutilated by losing his tail. I'd go into more detail but there's no point at this time. Some how the Fox returned to his people. But now with out his wallet stolen and his soul crushed.
The Rat while being deformed for the rest of his life (*sniff sniff *) rose to be the leader of the Bears and carried on a torrid affair with the Yellow Haired Tree Rat until she stole his golden ticket and he left her for dead…what she was dead weight. And she sent him prison…I mean very bad cage where he was beaten and raped.
