She knew they had been lying.
Just small things.
Trying to get her through.
Little white lies.
Saying they were okay
But things weren't okay
Little white lies
She noticed the red eyes
The tear stained cheeks,
But how bad could it be?
They were all still breathing right?
Little white lies
No one seemed to be okay
They would be,
She thought they would be
Maybe they weren't
Where was Biana?
Little white lies,
Weeks fly by,
Still people were lying,
She appreciated it at first but now,
Biana still hadn't come back
Where was she?
Fitz said she was fine
Dex said she was fine
Edaline said she was fine,
Alden said she was fine,
Getting better,
Almost better,
Needed time,
Minor setback,
Would get better,
Not sleeping,
Excuses,
So
Many
Excuses,
Sophie knew nightmares,
But she didn't know real life becoming one,
At least not one that bad
She kept living in her bubble
Biana was fine,
Fitz's eyes weren't as red as they seemed,
Little white lies
Now to herself
She had to know,
The bubble was wrong,
Biana's things were in boxes
There was no Biana in sight
No one there recently
Other than gnomes
"When?" She asked Fitz standing behind her
"A week after, she passed out on our way to Livvy's"
He was crying,
"She never woke up,"
Little white lies,
"How many people know?"
"My family, Dex, Kesler, Livvy, Elwin, Edaline, and Keefe too,"
Sophie wondered,
How did she let herself lose one of them?
She kept telling herself it wasn't her fault
Just little white lies
