Fuuka didn't like the rain. It's not that she hated it, but it was cold and dreary and only ever seemed to start when she was already outside WITHOUT an umbrella.

The small teal haired girl let out a heavy sigh as she waited under a tree just outside a convenience store. She would have gone in to stay dry, but the last time she did that the owner yell at her to get out unless she bought something, and she just spent the last of her money on food. Sometimes she wondered if life just hated her.

"...Fuuka?" the Yamagishi girl spun around at the familiar voice. "Ah! Shinjiro-sempai! Did you get caught in the rain too?" she asked, wanting to slap herself fir the foolish question when she realized that he had his coat over his head instead of an umbrella.

"...You could say that." the tall brunette answered calmly. After a moment of silence passed between them, making Fuuka feel even more anxious, he spoke again. "You coming under here or are you just gonna wait under a tree till the storm passes?" he asked, opening his coat up a little wider as if to make his point.

Fuuka hesitated for a moment, her cheeks blushing brightly as she apologized for not realizing sooner why he was still standing there. Then she ran under his coat, instinctively pressing herself against his much taller frame for warmth as they ran back to the dorm together.

And for just a moment...she found that she rather liked the rain after all.
