"Come with me." She said, so simply, as if it were nothing.
"I… I cannot." He reached for her, stretching until he could no father; still she was too far away.
"We can be together for eternity, just you and I. Alone. Forever." Her eyes seemed emotionless, her body just as he remembered it.
"Please, Nyota, come back with me." He begged her, reaching even father, until it hurt him to do so.
"I cannot." A single tear fell from her eye.
"Please, K'diwa," he swallowed, his eyes burning, "come back to me."
"No, you must come with me, love. Ashayam, I miss you." The light around her began to dissipate, and Spock found himself back in his quarters.
He felt the tears slide down his cheek. His heart: so shallow now, more than ever before.
It hurt; to hear her, to see her, even in his dreams.
Spock lay there, hugging the pillow that used to belong to his Nyota tightly.
"I miss you, too." He said aloud, his voice cracking.
Then, he got up, and prepared for yet another day.
Without her.
