Perry dove between the closing doors, hearing the gunshots ring in his ears. As the doors close and the muzak music plays, the secret agent pants for breath, holding closer to him the secret files he had recovered.
'Just a few more floors...', he thought to himself, though the sweat poured on him and his legs were like jelly.
*Ding*
'Just a few more floors and I'll be done with this place...', he looked back up to see the elevator was one floor away from his stop and put the folders away. 'Alright. Let's do this.'
He pulled out his gun and as soon as the elevators door opened, he shot the two men at the end of the hallway, running as fast as his tired legs could carry him. He quickly ducked to dodge a fired bullet before the man had fallen down. He jumped back to his feet once the bullet missed him and headed on, turning around only to shoot the several men that came from behind. Once he reached it, he ran down the escalator, out of trouble's grasp for only a moment, long enough to shoot the next floor's lamp and cause it to fall on a man's head. Perry darted through the blackened hallways, only able to see by the moon's light in the windows. He was feet away from the last elevator. The elevator that would take him to safety. That would take him away from the madness of this mission. When suddenly a bang was heard and he rolled over, choking on his last breath.
Doo-doo-doo! Doo! Doom-do-doo do do!
"'NO!'", Perry chattered angrily. "'I was SO darn close to winning!'"
"HA! MY TURN!", Heinz yelled as he jumped up from the seat he was in to play the video game.
"'NEVER!'", the platypus hissed, holding the controller closer. "'I HAVE AN EXTRA LIFE!'"
"YOU said we'd take turns with the lives! MINE!", the man attempted to wrestle the game controller away.
And thus the day was spent. Playing, laughing, and fighting over taking a turn to play...
Elevator Action.
