It was a beautiful day in Forks Washington and I decided to take advantage of the good weather. Good weather was a rarity in Forks, the majority of the time it was raining. But that's what I get for living in the rainiest place in the Continental U.S. I decided to go down to La Push beach for the day. I packed a bag of beach necessities and was on my way. When I got there, the beach was practically deserted, an elderly couple and a young family being the exceptions. I wasn't surprised; most of the population goes on vacation outside of Forks for the summer. I took a deep breath of the ocean air and smiled. I closed my eyes and listened to the sound of the waves as they collided, with the shore.

I was removed from my trance-like state when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I jumped slightly, turning around to find none other than Jacob Black. Jacob and I have been friends ever since we were little kids and we are growing closer every day. "Hey, you scared me" I replied with a smile. "Sorry" he apologised, putting on his puppy dog eyes. I couldn't resist his puppy dog eyes and will never be able to. I hit his arm lightly before giving him a hug. "I forgive you" I replied into his shoulder, the words slightly muffled. After he released me from his embrace we walked along the shore.

"So, what's new since I saw you last?" I asked, intrigued. "Embry finally imprinted" he replied with a smile. I smiled back at him. I'm so happy that he doesn't have to hide half of his life from me, I couldn't care less if he was a werewolf or not. It doesn't affect my feelings towards him in the least. "Finally?" I questioned. "Yeah, we were starting to believe he never would. That would be sad; he'd miss out on one of the best parts of being the way we are." He added with another smile. "What does it feel like?..to imprint?" I asked curiously. Jacob looked off into the distance, an air of nostalgia in his tone. "It's not like love at first sight, really. It's more like... Gravity moves. When you see her, suddenly it's not the earth holding you here anymore. She does. And nothing matters more than her. And you would do anything for her, be anything for her ... You become whatever she needs you to be, whether that's a protector, or a lover, or a friend, or a brother" He replied looking me in the eyes, my green ones meeting his beautiful brown ones. I got lost in his eyes. If it was possible, they were more beautiful than ever before.

"Have you imprinted?" I asked, my eyes not leaving his. He nodded, taking my hand in his. I knew from his eyes that he had imprinted on me. In my heart I guess I always knew. "What do you want me to be Anna?" He asked his eyes filled with the most intense love I have ever seen. "I want you to be Jacob, my lover" I replied with a smile. Jacob smiled and cupped my cheek with his hand. He then leaned down and kissed me. I could tell he put his heart and soul into the kiss and it felt so natural. I kissed back with everything in my heart. When we pulled away Jacob put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me close. We continued to walk along the shore, the waves washing over our feet as we walked. I had the best day of my life today.
