"Captain, help me! AHH!!!"

"That fool. When I'm done here I'm going to kick his ass."

"Ban-KAI!"

Hisagi lay there in the healing barrier. His eyes were looking at the sky above. He felt huge reiatsu being released. He sat up and could make out Soi Fon and her bankai.

"Wow, so that's Captain Soi Fon's bankai. From what I've heard, if she doesn't steady herself, a single shot from her bankai would send her back a ways."

"Either way, the Espada won't see it hit him. Even if he sees it, he will not have time to sonido away. The blast will impact both the Espada and the...CAPTAIN! I have to do something!!"

Hisagi's analysis was correct. The blast was shot and it hit Barragan so fast that he did not have time to get away. The blast did indeed affect Soi Fon as well. She was thrown backwards. Oomaeda got caught in the blast and crashed back first into a building. Just as soon as he crashed into the building, he felt himself being picked up. This all happened quickly, mind you.

"Y--you!"

"Vice Captain Oomaeda, switch places with me, no questions."

"How did you get here?"

"I broke the barrier with some Kido. You will go back over there."

"Hey-hey-hey you don't need to throw me. I can flash step over there myself."

"Okay, suit yourself."

The force of the blast threw Soi Fon back and into the arms of somebody.

"Captain Soi Fon..." Soi Fon was in and out of consciousness.

"Who-who is this?"

"Me."

"Who is you?"

"Hisagi Shuuhei."

"How did you-- why are you in this position,weren't you being healed up from that ass-kicking you received from that monster?"

"Hehe, all my lacerations were healed. A few ribs are still broken."

"Why the hell are you here? You should be in the healing barrier under Vice Captain Izuru's care."

"How did you know he used to be in the 4th Division?"

"That's not the point. Why are you here?" Despite being in his broken state (ribs), Hisagi's face still managed a minor blush.

"I wanted to make sure you were okay."

"Oh, okay. Thank you. You are very thoughtful. I wish you were my Vice Captain." It was painful for him, but Hisagi held Soi Fon a little bit tighter.

"I'm just glad you are okay, Captain."

"Hisagi-kun, I am not your Captain."

"That can change."

"Yes, it can..."
