Most of the time, whenever they knew that Wheeljack was away in his lab inventing something, they knew that they would be leaving the blame for whatever went boom next on the inventor.
Though perhaps their attention should have been placed on other mechs on the base who also knew how to make things that could go boom as well.
Like the Ops team for one thing, they were mechs that could certainly and easily rig things to go boom as the sky even.
But when something went boom this time, they instinctively thought to blame either Wheeljack or the Ops mechs.
And when they did deny that it was either of them, they were all surprised to discover that it was instead Perceptor and Prowl.
