Hi, everyone! This is a one-shot sequel to the story A Mercenary's Rage. Remember, I don't own the elements or characters of Samurai Warriors or Drakengard 2.

Life. Sometimes it's interesting, other times it's boring. Magoichi Saika sat on a stool somewhere outdoors, contemplating the key events that irrevocably changed his life. He answered the call to his best friend Hideyoshi Toyotomi when Nobunaga Oda went to Anegawa and attempted to eradicate Nagamasa Azai's army for his betrayal at Kanegasaki.
Magoichi then assisted a Buddhist group called Honganji to ward off the clan he helped in a previous battle: the Oda Clan. The forces of Honganji struggled, but Magoichi managed to deliver supplies of food to the soldiers and raised their morale. After enduring an onslaught, Nobunaga's forces retreated. Magoichi received his gold from the Buddhists and left Honganji's ranks.
Little did he know that Nobunaga was a vindictive man. The Demon Lord traveled to Europe and met an army called the Knights of the Seal, whom are just as vicious as the Oda Clan. Nobunaga met with Gismor, the Knights' leader, and asked for his help to destroy Magoichi's village.
This part of Magoichi's life turned his world upside down. He came home to find it ravaged by the Oda-Knights Coalition. He shot down every last knight and Oda soldier, then captured and tortured a high-ranking female Knight commander named Eris.
Magoichi invaded the Grand Shrine and fought Gismor twice, with the maniacal tyrant being defeated twice. The mercenary chased Gismor to Heaven's Clocktower and ended his life with one bullet to the head. Shortly after, Nobunaga would suffer the same fate. By then the world would spiral into chaos, warping the sky into a grotesque pink.
Magoichi reunited with Hideyoshi and came into good terms once more. At the battle of Yamasaki, Mitsuhide Akechi was unable to capture Mt. Ten-noh and was eventually annihilated. In the process, Magoichi was shot a few times but was nursed back to health. He thanked Hideyoshi and bade him farewell.
A few years would pass, and Ieyasu Tokugawa usurped control of the land. While defending Osaka Castle alongside the Toyotomi Army, Magoichi encountered a young one-eyed warlord named Masamune Date, ruler of Oshu. Impressed by his skills, the Saika Merc agreed to serve him. They challenged the Tokugawa Army in a final showdown at Mikatagahara and surprisingly became Japan's new rulers.
Magoichi kept pondering one question: Did his life change for the better or for the worse?
"Magoichi!" a voice called out to him.
Magoichi turned and saw Masamune, armed with his pistols.
"Why do you have your pistols in hand, buddy?" he asked. "The chaos is over."
"There are imbeciles armed with swords and rifles. And they wear metal masks!" Masamune exclaimed, flailing his arms in the air. "They wanna take away the land we worked so hard to control. C'mon! You've been bitching about boredom, so here's some action!"
Magoichi smirked as he ran alongside his best friend, rifle in hand. "They wield rifles, huh? Those guys don't know anything 'til they've met me!"
Who knows? Maybe his life did change for the better. Maybe it does have some sort of purpose. Right now, Magoichi's purpose is to help Masamune keep the land in check.
