Barney (Ted's best friend) is a man who always want to prove his worth (manhood) and enjoys cheap child like games. This is due to a sad childhood. Where Barney was bullied by his "friends" for liking "sissy games". In turn of this Barney has never turned down a dare yet. Though he still enjoys the games. Ultimately Barney proved himself to eveyone when he and Robin had a son. Yet their son does not know of his father. Who is off proving himself to no longer anyone but to himself. Marshall Eriksen a man who is good at virutally everything physical and yet still has a one weak spot. His love for the enviornment and his love for piano. Unlike the others he is normal. As normal as he seems he is not. His obessison with big foot and nessie drove him over the edge almost indangering his life. He stops with it and begins going back to his regular life.
