Nothing to Remember

AN: This idea came when I was moaning about how the senshi seem to die all the time and how Usagi always somehow brings them back. Do enjoy!

Chapter One:

Hotaru's POV

Ok, I've got no clothes, no body and I'm floating in some weird vortex thingy.

Looks like I'm dead. Again.

I know what its like to be dead. I'm a senshi after all, and we seem to die ever year or so. And I'm the senshi of death. Its duty to know when I've croaked. What kind of Sailor would I be if I couldn't figure out a simple thing like that?

I would sigh if I could. Sadly you can't talk when your dead so it gets pretty quiet. I spend most of my dead phases waiting for Usagi to use her Silver Crystal to bring us back. She always does.

"Saturn..."

Huh? Oh, it looks like Usagi. She's got that long blonde hair, blue eyes and wings?!

Damn. An angel. Looks like I've well and truly croaked this time. At least I'm going to go to heaven. Hell doesn't sound all that nice really. Its not the sort of place you want to spend eternity in.

"I have a mission for you..."

Sigh. No rest for the wicked. Or dead at that. I wonder what I'm meant to do this time? Destroy a planet? Save the other senshi from some evil being? Nah... that's Usagi's job. I just die and come back. Maybe a mission will be interesting.

What do I have to to do? Telepathy sure is useful don't you think?

"There is another dimension child... A girl has turned mad. She was... hurt by her attackers. Her body still lives, but her soul is dead. She could not cope under the torture. But she is vital to the future. If you agree to take the place of her soul then destiny will be forever grateful."

Hm. Lets see the choices shall we? Go to heaven, have eternal peace. Take over the body of a girl who has suffered torture and play her part in destiny. Wow, what a choice. Let me think about this. It is such a hard decision.

I think I'll just go to heaven, thanks all the same.

A pause.

"If you don't take her place, then may people will die."

Great. Just great. Damn my sense of honor. I'm going to have to do this now aren't I? Did she have to bring up the 'people will die' thing?! Angels aren't meant to be so sneaky.... right?

Fine. Meany. I'll do it then!

The angel smiled. Stupid angel.

"Thank you Saturn."

I could feel myself falling. Looks like I'm going to fall straight into my new body. Literally.

"Goodbye Hotaru Tomoe ... Or should I say Hotaru Snape?"
