"Lionblaze!"
Cinderheart called for Lionblaze but still he did not answer. She had been searching among all the dens in the camp, but hadn't seen a soul of him. Finally she decided to widen her hunt and look outside the camp. Thorns tugged at her pelt as she padded across the thorn tunnel but all she cared about was Lionblaze. Quickly she indentified Lionblaze's scent as started tracking. His trail led down to Sky Oak and veered right to the lake. Thought whirled in her head at all the possible options of why Lionblaze was out of camp. Maybe he went hunting and chased his prey all the way to the lake. Maybe he just wanted to get some fresh air, or just to take a drink from the fresh, cool water. His scent grew stronger as she neared the sandy fall that led down to the lake, but she tracked another scent. After a few heartbeats of desperate sniffing she realized it was WindClan. But why? Maybe they came to fectch water, but then again, why would they come all the way here if there was a stream flowing close to their camp? As she peeked out of the ferns shock crashed over her like a muddy wave. There was Lionblaze, leaping from rock to rock in the stepping stones that led out into the deep, dangerous water, but Heathertail was with him. Normally she would have been amused as to believe that they were just together to recover their wall of hostility and anger that seperated their friendship, but now she could clearly see that that wall had crumbled down, replaced by love. She knew that because affection gleamed and sparkled in both cats' eyes.
Before she knew what she was doing, she furiously trudged toward the lake and tumbled down the slope. Satisfaction surged through her as she saw the fear in Lionblaze's eyes. She wanted him to be scared. She wanted him to suffer. She wanted the worst for him.
"Cinderheart I can explain," he meowed desperately.
"Then explain!" she scowled. "Oh wait, I forgot, it's already too late! How about that?"
Heathertail opened her mouth to speak, to defend her precious, but clamped it shut when she shot her a furious glare.
"Please, give me a chance!" Lionblaze pleaded.
"I'm sorry, Lionblaze, but did I already tell you that I no longer love you?" she meowed coldly. Fury spread through her eyes as they darkened. She tried not to show the hurt she felt, but it snapped out of her control and was clearly visible to all three cats.
"Look, Cinderheart, I'm sorry I hurt you," Lionblaze mewed. "But me and Heathertail met for one reason and one reason only. We met because we wanted to become friends again, because we didn't want to cause more problems, since the dark forest..." he trailed off. Cinderheart wanted to believe him, but she could clearly see that he was lying. Instead, she snapped,"go join WinClan, Lionblaze, so you can see your precious Heathertail everyday. I hope the WindClan cats treat you like rubbish as far as I care. Don't cause any more trouble for ThunderClan. After all, they don't want an undefeatable tom who doesn't know how to love in their clan. Forget about apologizing, it's over."
And with that she spun away and stomped up the slope once more. I can't ever fall in love again, she thought painfully as grief dragged at her and made her heart heavy. I'll just get my heart broken again. And that's one Rippletail appeared.
"Um.. Hi," he meowed shyly, ducking his head. "I saw what happened. I'm sorry..."
Cinderheart pointed with her paw at RiverClan territory. "GTFO."
"Okayyyy..." he mewed, then suddenly screamed, "I LUVZ DORAAAAAA!" and then sprinted away, yowling about dora and boots.
Suddenly Graystripe appeared and said, "LIKE ALL THE FACEBOOK POSTS!" Then ran away, giggling madly, while Millie chased after him, yowling, "I knew I shouldn't have gotten you that new laptop!"
