My first Supper fic. :) And Zoe makes an appearance too! I'm sure everyone is screaming, "FINALLY!" And I don't blame any of you. :P

Nap Time
Sunil felt a strange presence cuddle up against him. His nervous golden eyes looked to the ground and there he found a gray and white striped skunk wrapped around his waist. Pepper hummed, her eyes closed. She rubbed the side of her right cheek against the magician mongoose's blue underbelly, sighing with an exhausted happiness.
"I think this is a nice little spot for me to take my afternoon nap."
She lifted her violet eyes and stared at her best male friend. "Don't you think so too?" she asked, a hint of interest in her voice.
Sunil let out a tiny yelp. He nodded his head speedily and began to fiddle with his furry fingers. "Y-yes, P-P-Pepper," he gulped down the large lump in his throat that had been forming for a few seconds. "This is the... ah, perfect spot for you to rest."
"I'm glad you think the same, Houdini," she joked with a wink. She fluffed her tail and slid it around the mongoose's leg, where its last hair reached the tip of her nose. She suddenly let out the biggest and noisiest snore!
"SUNIL!" screeched Zoe from her comfy basket. The purple cocker spaniel yanked off her black sleep mask and glared down at the terrified blue pet from her upper level. Her eyes were serious and bloodshot. They were petrifying. "Tell your little girlfriend to keep her snoring down! I have a competition tomorrow in Downtown Big City and I absolutely MUST get my beauty sleep. SO KEEP IT DOWN, PLEASE!"
The skunk was oblivious, for she was in a deep, deep sleep. Sunil soon recovered from the grouchy Zoe and scratched behind Pepper's ears. She snorted a high-pitched laugh and her right hind leg began to swiftly kick the ground like a rapid heartbeat. Sunil blushed. He had never seen Pepper like this before. It was entirely new. Was this supposed to be some kind of new magic trick out of a recent book? He didn't know.
Whatever it was, Pepper was still adorable as ever.
Even with the ridiculous snot bubble that was blowing out of one of her nostrils.
