The Paradise was busier then it had ever been so early in the morning, everyone had been given the morning off to prepare for the wedding of the year, so the doors of the shop had remained closed and the customers no where to be seen yet anyway. The Paradise had been decorated fully with blue flowers, gold and cream ribbon, balloons, silk draping from the shop fittings. All the counters have been removed from the great hall and Instead replaced by round tables and chairs leaving a small dance floor In the centre. The stairs up to ladies wear had had a change of decoration there was now a paradise blue carpet leading up to the top of the stairs with the same blue flowers and ribbon that was around the rest of the store.
All was quite in Morays office, he stood at the window looking out into the silent street smiling. Today was the first day of the rest of his life and he couldn't wait. He pulled out his pocket watch and stared at the engraved message on the back ' you will look into my eyes and you will know' he smiled again a simple statement that meant so much. He rubbed his thumb over the jewel encrusted front and then pushed the case open. 8.30 he still had plenty of time, although he was a bit surprised that Dudley wasn't there yet. He let the feeling of anxiously go and moved to sit in his leather chair where he poured himself to a large glass of brandy and sat thinking about what his love would be doing st thisthis very moment.
Over the street things where just as hectic as inside the paradise.
'Breath in a bit more's Clara said as he pulled the strings of Denises corset tighter. 'If I breath in anymore I might die and will never get to my wedding in time!' She giggled
'There. All done' Clara said and walked away admiring her friend
' you look beautiful' She said smiling.
'thank you Clara, have you seen Suzie?' Denise asked
Before Clara could answer Suzie came out from the other room wearing her bridesmaid dress made by her uncle in a paradise blue colour, both of the bridesmaid dresses where the same apart from Claras lower neck line, they where both made from silk and where both the same theme colour,the fabric on top of the bussle was a slightly different shade of the same blue with ribbons s hair was in a simple up do with some curly strands handing down on to her shoulder whereas Suzies was in a more elaborate up do high on her head. And lastlylastly they where both wearing a blue ribbon around there necks with a small diamond handing off of it, that was a gift from John. TheThey both looksstunning too. Clara presented Denise with a box that contained her mothermother's tiara, which was a filigree design covered in pearls and didiamonds in which she had added a selection ofsmall blue flowers. Next to go on was the blue garter sheshe had bought her self, that was white lace with a blue ribbon through the middle.
Suzie gave her another box which held the jewellery John had bought her specially, inside there was a gold three strand pearl necklace which had a pendant hanging from it, covered in diamonds and a pearl in the centre, the earring where the same design just smaller, and then the bracelet was a three strand pearl, with a small diamond embedded in the gold catch. The last thing she did was pull on her lace gloves and lower the veil she had borrowed from the paradise.
' You look amazing Denise' Suzie said
' do you think he will like it?' Denise asked hesitant
'Mr Moray would love you just the same on what ever you wear' Clara sighed sometimes she hated all this romance business, but it was her best friends special day so she would try and be happy for her. She looked at the clock on the wall 8.55
'Okay come on girls it's time'
