Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone
The tale of a child
Born to Lily and James
-Whose lives' were cut short
By a flash of green flames-
Is a tale of great sadness
Of pity and sorrow
Until Harry the child
At last could say no
To his cruel uncle Vernon
His mean auntie too
And Dudley his cousin
(Bad through and through)
For you see one night
In a hut on the sea
A giant came knocking
For Harry to see
He was large, he was wild
He was really quite hairy
But more than just that
He looked ever so scary
Then he smiled at poor Harry
And told him that night
That a wizarding school
Could put everything right
And Harry found out
From this giant of a man
That his parents had loved him
And left him a plan
A plan to enrol
At the magical school
It made Vernon, Petunia
And Dudley look like fools
So Harry began
At Hogwarts-the school-
The towers were hot
The dungeons were cool
He learnt charms in his classes
And potions there too
But what he loved most
Was the broomstick he flew
He made friends at the school
And Ron was the best
He helped when young Harry
Was put to the test
The evil Lord Vol-
Oops, I mean you know who
Had found out that Harry
Had heard it was true
That his parents
Did not pass away in a crash
But were killed by Lord V
With a spell in a flash
He had tried to kill Harry
But when he did try
His powers were lost
And no one knew why
So now Lord V
Was out for revenge
And Harry's life
Was destined to end
The philosopher's stone
Had been hidden away
To stop anyone evil
But Lord V found a way
To sing Fluffy to sleep
Escape devil's snare
Then catch the right key
To go into the lair
Where the chess set was waiting
To battle it out
Before bottles of poison
Had to be sorted out
The mirror of Erised
Stood all alone
The last thing between
Lord V and the stone
But thanks to the help
Of his friends all around
Harry beat Lord V
To the stone and he found
That the head of the school
-Albus Dumbledore-
Had come across Voldemort
Sometime before
Now Harry was safe
And he passed all his tests
It was time to go home
For a break and a rest
He arrived at the station
With a chest and an owl
Uncle Vernon just stared
He looked terribly foul
But the Harry smiled
For he knew quite well
That the Dursleys didn't know
That he couldn't cast spells
Poor Dudley was frightened
When Harry was near
And Vernon and Petunia
Were filled with deep fear
So Harry spent summer
Thinking things through
Waiting for September
And the start of year two.
This is the first thing I have written, so review??
