"Don't undress – yet."
Carolyn paused, arms angled awkwardly behind her back.
"The issue is moot," she sighed. "I can't undo these hooks by myself. Perhaps we should call Claymore back?"
She expected a rumble of thunder but silence echoed throughout the master cabin.
"Daniel?" Carolyn rested her hands on the dresser and stared at his reflection in the mirror.
"The strongest man in New England and I cannot undress the lady of my house with these hands," the Captain said finally.
"Your eyes will do nicely until your dreams carry us both away." Carolyn replied, smiling despite her sudden tears.
