Opening Scene - Castle fans, imagine if you will:
* Josh is standing next to a bandaged Kate who is lying in her hospital bed after being shot. He just performed surgery on her to remove the bullet in her side.
* While still heavily sedated, Kate mumbles "I love you too."
* Feeling joyful after finally hearing those words from her, Josh leans in to give Kate an affectionate embrace.
* She continues, "I love you too, Castle."
* Almost as if on cue, Richard Castle rushes in with flowers in one hand (preferably the ones used in 3x12).
* Josh goes to punch him. The writer dodges.
* Kate finds the little bit of energy she has regained and hurls her lunch tray at Josh. The tray acts as a Frisbee and cuts a small gash in his forehead.
* Castle takes advantage of the situation and gives Josh a black eye.
* Josh lies unconscious on the floor.
* Castle makes one of his strange faces which signifies his unawareness of the reason he was being punched in the first place.
AND THEN THE AUDIENCE REALIZES THAT CASTLE DIDN'T HEAR KATE... AND HERE WE GO AGAIN.
