Hello. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
I actually wrote this about a year ago, but thought it might be better if I uploaded it during New Year's Eve, so I waited months for the chance to upload this. However, I forgot about it TT_TT I only remembered about it when I was looking through my notes. I really regret I couldn't upload this during New Year's Eve.
I'm very sorry that I haven't uploaded a story in over a year. Unfortunately, I don't get good ideas very often and even if I did, I wouldn't have the skills to write it out.
Well, hope you enjoy this short story!
It was a silent night as Lucy walked home alone. The only sound audible was her boots clicking on the stone path. Today was new year's eve. Lucy stared at the bright stars, deep in thought. Some people at the guild had been talking about a new year's kiss, especially Mirajane (no surprises there). She wondered if she was going to get one. She shook her head quickly. As if! But she still thought about the kiss and and what it would be like to have one, just because she's a romantic like that.
Snow had started to fall as soon as she arrived at her house and she quickly entered, not wanting to catch a cold.
"Yo!"
"MY ROOOOM!" She stared at the food splattered on the walls, floor, even her furniture wasn't safe from the onslaught. Natsu grinned up at her, obviously not caring about the mess. She turned to look at Happy.
"GET AWAY FROM THERE!" She yelled, seeing the blue feline next to a wall completely covered in scratches and dragged him by the ear into the middle of the room where she can keep an eye on him.
"Lucy, you're cruel," pouted Happy.
"Oh yeah? I'll show you cruel." And using the force, she made them clean all the mess they made. After an hour, she took pity on them and told them they could stop.
"You guys can go now" she annouced.
"But we want to play with you," Natsu made the best puppy face he could and Lucy somehow couldn't say no to that.
"Alright but i gotta take a shower first. You better not do anything while i'm not here." She glared at them.
"Yes ma'am" Natsu quivered slightly but Lucy reckons he was probably mocking her.
When she returned from shower, she saw Natsu laying on her bed, looking out the window, while Happy was no where to be seen. Natsu's head turned towards her at her arrival.
"Where's Happy?"
"He said that he had something important to do" Natsu shrugged. "No biggie."
"Alright then... So what did you want to do tonight?"
"Oh right, i came cause i have a present for you. You know, since this is new years eve. Now close your eyes."
Lucy obediently did as she was told. She wondered what it was. Suddenly, she felt a pair of lips come into contact with hers and her eyes flew open in surprise. Before she could say anything, Natsu had already turned around and began making his way to the window. But not before she saw his face a nice bright shade of red. Her face must be the same too.
"Happy new year!" Natsu yelled at her, once he was out the window.
Lucy smiled, still blushing heavily. Looks like she got a kiss after all.
