At eighteen years old, Austin Moon was the most in love he could ever be. He knew he was going to be with her forever. Tonight was the night he'd express his love. It might sound like he was going to propose, but no, they were too young for that, he decided. He needed to think of another way.
It was 3:59 that day; Austin was at the Music Factory, waiting for the final minute of the lesson he was teaching to pass. Don't get him wrong, he loved teaching his students. Today, however, he was anxious. There was something very, VERY important he had to do.
Just as the clock struck four, Austin ran out, not even bothering to say goodbye to Marlee, the girl he was teaching. She laughed as Austin sped out.
Austin crossed to the other side of the mall, speeding past the food court. He breathed hard as he got to Jessie's Jewelry. Good, he thought, it was still Trish's shift.
Trish chuckled as her eyes landed on Austin. "Need something?"
He quickly recovered and spoke. "I need something for me and Ally. It needs to look good."
"So, you need something matching?
Austin nodded. "Exactly".
Trish looked around. She brought out some rings, and one necklace. None of them were good enough for Ally.
Another hour had passed. Trish had gone several rounds looking for items, yet still nothing had yet pleased Austin. He needed to find something; his date was soon.
"You're lucky that I'm still helping you Austin. Its already past my shift."
Austin promised that this would be the last time. He was still worried that this wouldn't be the one.
Trish put two silver chain bracelets on the counter. Austin looked at them. There was a small infinity charm on each one. This was it.
That night at Austin and Ally's date at the beach, Austin prepared for the perfect moment. They were walking on the beach, full moon above.
Austin took both bracelets out of his pocket.
"Ally?"
"Yeah?"
"I want to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"Ally, will you promise to love me forever, no matter what happens, always be mine? Always be my high school sweetheart, my true love?"
Austin put his hand out.
"Ally, will you promise to love me for infinity?"
Ally smiled wide.
"Yes"
She gave him a beautiful kiss right there.
It was the best night ever.
