You were running for your life down the dim, endless corridor. It was dark, like what you would imagine Lucifer's cage to looklike without the faint glow of fires burning in the distance. There were no twists, turns or corners, it just seemed to carry on in a perfect, straight line. The end was unseen, the walls seemed to last forever. You could hear the piercing screams of other hunters echoing throuout the corridor as you tried to escape.

Voices were constantly whisperinh behind you and you knew they were close. Your legs were beginning to tire from the pain. It felt like there was a bright, fierce and terrifying flame trying to seep through your cuts burning your very skin.

Eventually you grew tired of running and tried over your own feet. You clenched your teeth in fear of what the demons would do to you after you had attempted to escape, they had kidnapped you and a few other hunters to gain information.

You sat on the cold, hard, uncomfortable ground unable to run anymore. You listened to the inaudible whispers as they grew louder.

All of a sudden the whispers stopped. They had completely stopped. Not a sound could be heard other than the weak, distant screams. The silence alarmed you even more. Were they messing with you? Had they truly gone? Had you escaped?

You felt a gentle touch on your shoulder and even though your heart was already beating rapidly it started beating quicker. The pain you felt in your neck was too much for you to turn. For some reason you could smell sweets and caramel but you weren't so sure why.

"Shhh. Calm down, you're safe now..." A calm and temperate voice whispered. You flinched. The 'man' knelt down in front of you and lifted your chin to look him directly in his beautiful, magnificent, green-hazel eyes. "You can trust me."

He placed his hand on yours and wordlessly asked for you to move it. You exhaled a deep breath before removing your hand from your arm revealing a huge, open gash. He touched it and it slowly began to heal although it costed a great amount of agony.

You pulled your arm away from him immediately and yelled the best that you could with your sore, damaged throat. "Get the hell away from me!"

"I'm just trying to help," He remained calm, "Look." He touched my arm again but this time the pain wasn't as overwhelming. You stayed quiet, curious about his ability.

After a few minutes the torture was gone. As if it had never been there. Your body looked perfectly fine. No cuts. No scars. You looked up into his mesmerizing orbs once more. "What are you? A demon? Djinn? Witch?"

"Well that's a rude way to greet someone." He grabbed your hand and helped you stand. "I'm the archangel Gabriel. Surely you've heard of me." I didn't believe him at first. I knew that angels and archangels existed I just didn't think I would ever meet one. I could telk from the look in his eyes that he serious.

"(Y/N), what happened to the demons?"

"You ask alot of questions." He laughed. "They're dead, don't worry about them." He looked at his wrist as if he was wearing a watch. "Anyway, I'm on a tight schedule so I'll have to go. I'm meeting one of my friends for a chat and a cup of tea." He pulled out his archangel blade and disappeared. You heard the fluttering of wings but that was all. He was gone. You wondered if you would ever encounter him again. He never even gave you the chance to say thank you.
