Starcraft – Freed Mind
Prologue
1600 hours somewhere In Space.
Cerebrate Rankor was one of the most loyal cerebrates to his master and creator Overmind, he was one of the first cerebrates which were created and fifth most brilliant commander of swarm. He was feeling his master call for reinforcements from every planet in this sector, however those didn't arrived in time. That resulted in annihilation of Overmind and weaker cerebrates with their broods. Broke of mindlink between Rankor and his creator resulted in his agony. An hour has passed and Rankor's pain has ended as quickly as it started. He calmed him down and commanded every zerg still under his command to transport themselves on unnamed planet on the border of this sector.
- Hear me my underlings, because now I reclaimed my mind and saw through these countless years of my service to Overmind and I came to the conclusion that this war was not necessary.
- After this announcement he started to wait for his reincarnation form preparations end on the surface to transfer his mind to it. Awaiting this procedure he wasn't aware that United Earth Directorate fleet entered sector on its opposite side and were looking forward to destroy zergs.
