The storm outside crashed and boomed brilliantly as Bella and Toni slumbered peacefully. An especially loud boom of thunder sounded, and the silence was broken by a tiny whimper. Little Lovino was terrified of storms, and he wasn't used to having to deal with them alone. He slipped closer to Toni and Bella's sleeping figures cautiously as the storm outside continued to brew.

"B-bella…T-tomato bastard?" The mop of blonde that had been happily resting on Toni's chest lifted before Bella stared at Lovino with sleep laden eyes.

"Lovino? What are you doing awake honey?" She asked in a hushed whisper as Toni slightly stirred beneath her.

"W-well…I…you see…" He trailed off before a large boom of thunder was heard and he squeaked in fear.

"Aww, you're scared of thunder storms?" He hesitantly shook his head, "Well why didn't you tell me? Come on, climb in here. Be careful of Toni, he's still asleep." She helped Lovino settle into the soft sheets next to her. She held him close and comforted him gently.

"See? I'll protect you~" She whispered as olive eyes locked with hazel. He slightly nodded and hid his face in her neck.

"Bella? Will you sing to me? Please?" She smiled and nodded before beginning to stroke his hair carefully.

"You have to promise to sleep, okay?" He nodded and got comfortable in her arms. She smiled and toyed with a piece of his hair.

"Sleep child sleep, outside there is a sheep." She softly hugged him and listened to his breathing.

"A sheep with little white feet, he drinks his milk so calmly." His breathing was calm and deep now, "So sleep child sleep, and think of the calm sheep." She felt his hands go limp and he let out a contented sigh. She pressed a soft kiss to his temple and settled her head on the pillow above her.

"Good night Lovino, sweet dreams."
