I have actually been wanting to write a Jibbs songfic to Need You Now for quite a while, I just never got round to it. As with all of my songfics, when you read this please listen to the song and pull up the lyrics on a separate device. I am going to add that to my bio thingy just now.
"Crap" Jenny Shepard said as she dropped the pictures she was carrying.
It was only then that she realized they were from when she was still together with her soulmate. She picked them all up again before putting them on her desk and dialling a familiar number.
"The person you're calling isn't available now so please leave a message after the tone" the voicemail said.
Jenny shook her head. She should've known he'd never known how to use it.
"Jethro, it's Jenny. I need you" tears filled her eyes.
She always wondered if he ever thought about her.
It was 0115 in the morning, and Jenny was alone like she always was. She filled up a tumbler of bourbon and drank it before sitting down at the wall and sobbed and sobbed. Jenny promised herself she would not call him but she had too. She had lost all her self control to not do that. She needed him.
Leroy Jethro Gibbs filled up his tumbler with bourbon and looked at the doorway to the basement. He remembered when they were still together, she used to sway in with the takeout. He wondered if she ever thought about him.
It was 0115 and Gibbs was a bit drunk once again. He needed Jenny. He grabbed his cell and called her home number.
"I'm not available right now so please leave a message after the tone" Jenny's voice rang into his ear.
"I need you Jen" Gibbs whispered.
'I should leave her be' he thought once he had hung up.
'He won't want me back. I left him' Jenny was thinking.
Jenny dialled Gibbs's number, and he dialled hers at the same time before they both gave up. They were both a tiny bit drunk but they still needed each other. Neither of them knew how to be without the other, even though they had been apart for six years.
Gibbs couldn't do it. He grabbed his keys, shoved on a pair of shoes and ran out to his truck. He got to Jenny's house and ran out of his vehicle. He took a deep breath before knocking on the front door of her Georgetown house. Jenny heard a knock coming from the front door and ran to get it. She opened it and let out a sob when she saw who it was. Gibbs pulled her into a hug while she cried into his chest.
"I missed you so much Jenny" he told her quietly.
"I missed you more Jethro" Jenny said once she had pulled back.
He hugged her again.
"I love you" Gibbs informed her.
"I love you too" Jenny replied before their lips met in a passionate kiss.
HAPPY ENDING YEEEETTTTT. Anyway, school starts again tomorrow (ugghhhh) so I will be very inactive again. Thanks for reading guys and please leave me a review x
