Winter Vacation

"Mamo-chan, why are you stopping?" Usagi asks when Mamoru pulls to the side of the road.

"This blizzard is getting terrible. We can't safely drive anymore."

Usagi looks into the rearview mirror the best she can despite the snow and ice. "Haruka-tachi have stopped too."

"What's wrong, Haruka? Why'd Mamoru-san stop?"

"These roads are extremely icy from the blizzard. It would be too risky to chance continuing on this mountain road in the dark."

"So what are you saying? We're going to spend the night in the car?"

"If we go outside we'll freeze. We really don't have a choice."

Michiru sighs and sits back in her seat. "This is not how I wanted to spend my vacation."

"Me neither, but we might as well make the best of the situation."

"How can you make the best of this situation? The doors are iced shut, there's almost no food or water in here, and we have to spend the night! I'm really open for any suggestions you may have... What are you doing?!" Michiru exclaims when Haruka turns off the ignition.

"If I leave it on we won't have enough fuel to get us out of here in the morning. We're running low as it is."

Michiru crosses her arms and leans against the cold window. "If this is a dream I want to wake up now."

Haruka pulls her gently away from the window and against herself. "Michi, if you're cold I know something that would warm you up."

Michiru giggles. "That's all you think about, isn't it?"

"Mamo-chan, it's freezing in here!"

"I'm sorry, Usako, but I can't turn the heat on or we'll run out of gas and won't be able to get to the cabin once this clears up... Hey, you think if we cuddle we'll get warm?"

Usagi laughs. "I don't know. Let's try it!"

They arrive at the cabin in the very early morning, all eager to get out of their cold vehicles. Mamoru opens the door to a spacious cabin consisting of a bedroom/living room and bathroom.

Usagi notices the single queen-size bed. "Mamo-chan, I thought you said that there were two bedrooms with two beds."

"Apparently I heard wrong... I guess there's only one."

"Well, that's great!" Haruka yells at him. "What are we supposed to do now? Sleep on the floor and freeze?"

A playful grin spreads slowly across Mamoru's features. "Well...I did hear once that the best way to regenerate body heat is to climb into a bed naked with three other people who are naked."

"WHAT!?"

"Ecchi!"

"That's not how the quote goes, Mamo-chan!"
