Resident Evil: Factory of Life

1

The moon is in crescent shape high above the heads of the Omega Squad S.W.A.T team. Fog is just under their chins, and leaves every trace of toxin, blood, and rotting corpse. Unlike the fog, the Omega squad leaves no trace of their presence neither behind nor ahead. Their figures cannot even be seen among the thick-coated fog and in return the fog offers as a great cover for the Omega squad, for unlike their last mission this one was to be completed at all costs.

The Omega squad has only had two previous missions, one being accompanied by the S.T.A.R.S team in an underground nuclear plant and the second one in Cancun, Mexico trying to oppose a breakout of "Hell-Hounds", as the Omega squad has given them the nickname. The Hell-Hounds tore apart most of the Omega squad in that mission, so now all that is left of the Omega squad are seven well trained and experienced sharp-shooters. Now on their third mission they face their most dangerous mission yet, to take out the central breeding ground for all the "Hell-Hounds".

The Omega squad closes in on the first pack of Hell-Hounds. Each hound had its own distinctive piece of flesh and skeleton shining through the thick misty fog. Six the leader of the Omega squad sensed that something was wrong because there were only five hounds. Six knew that usually the packs consisted of nine to twenty hounds because of their mass breeding nature. Six ordered the rest of the group to keep an eye out for any other hounds, which may be lurking nearby.

Six was the first to open fire on to the hounds that were resting in the trunk of the tree. They were an easy kill. Six alone could have slaughtered them, in fact most of the dogs didn't even scream for help when they were shot. After Six's M-12 unloaded its rounds, Six called for a roll call.

"Maverick checkin' in", called a voice into Six's radio.

"Gunfighter checkin' in", called a different voice on the radio.

"Viper checkin' in", called a third voice through the radio.

"Raven checkin' in", called a fourth voice through the radio.

After Raven's voice called in, the radio was clear of any voices. Six's premeditation of a problem had proved true. "Snake, Nine, and Wolf haven't responded. We don't have time to look for them though. They could have gotten lost when were broke through the gate. We must get to the center of the factory and destroy the breeding syrum. Then the feds can nuke this damn place.", orders to the surviving squad members.

With the fog rising and the sound of screams coming from far off the Omega squad rushes into the factory, the factory in which life was given to the Hell-Hounds…
